I was sitting on my lounge one night crocheting as you do when I had a brain burst and decided to make a lapghan (blanket for your lap when sitting on the lounge). Â I tried to change up my Cora pattern but it just wasn’t what I had in mind, and if I don’t like something, I don’t make it. So I went to bed and slept on it (no, not my adapted Cora square) hehe. Most people are at their creative best first thing in the morning so I pulled out my yarn and hook after my usual crappy night sleep, and got busy croodling. I knew I wanted my favourite stitch in it (the popcorn in case you hadn’t worked that one out yet). Â Next thing I knew I had this square….
I do have an ulterior motive for this blanket, all will be revealed after Christmas, so stay tuned. This was the quickest I have ever made a blanket. Arthur’s minecraft was took 3 weeks, that was a crazy-busy time, but I only had two children then, and one on the way. As I type this, my thumb is still a bit sore from making the last row of the border. But it’s okay as it will be resting till tomorrow or even later tonight when I pick up the hook again.
As I mentioned in my Instagram post, I would have some information about the blanket here… you will find all the information in the actual pattern when it is complete.

I seriously love the look and feel of this blanket and will be sad to see it go. So enough words for now and I’ll leave you with some happy snaps.
I just love these photos and how the blanket turned out. I hope you do too. Have a safe and Happy Christmas and I wish you all a spectacular and adventurous 2018.
