It’s time for me to take a break.
I think my body is telling me I’m doing too much and it’s starting to take a toll on my health.
I’m a ‘yes’ person, a people-pleaser, and I’ll always put you first. That’s not working out so well for me at the moment, so it’s time to take a step back, evaluate and prioritise what’s important and needs my attention first and foremost. Right now, that’s my health.
I’ll still pop in occassionally and check-in. I don’t know about you, but I’ve mentioned that ‘invisible pressure’ I put on myself to keep up with the posts, comments, pattern writting, desiging etc., etc. It’s as if you have a stigma surrounding you, that you need to be ‘on’ all the time, perfect, and post the ‘right’ stuff.
I’m far from perfect, although, I do put a lot of pressure on myself to deliver perfect patterns, photos, posts, so just about everything I do. It’s unneeded pressure that’s not needed or wanted.
Anyhow, I want this to be a wake-up post for you too. Maybe you’re doing too much and need to take a break or hand out the chores for others, get someone to cook dinner for a night, take some ‘me time’ every day (even if it’s 5-10 minutes).
We’re important and need to look out for us. Because if we’re not on our A-game or at our best, how can we expect to look after those that need us? And right now, they still need me (not sure for how much longer) and I need them (forever) so it’s time for a break.
So until next time, (sometime soon)
