Granny Square Day 2023 Make and Design Along

Granny Square Day 2023 Make and Design Along It’s almost that time of year again when fellow crocheters create a granny square and post it on social media, a day to celebrate all things granny square. This year (well, actually I’ve thought about doing something like this for a long time), I thought we could have some fun together. You choose what we do for each round from two options, I croodle it and release what it is/was the next day, whilst asking what to do on the next round and so forth. I am running it separately on Instagram...

Blogstars on the Beach

It’s that time of year again, when the Blogstars each design something around a theme. Last year it was a Garden Party. This year, it’s a beach theme. Go and check out what the other Blogstars have designed by clicking here. (You know you want to)( Do it, do it, do it). Living in Australia you think it’d be easy for me to design something or at least think of something. At least something that hadn’t been done before. Easier said than done lol. I think I designed at least four different types of barefoot sandals before changing my mind...

Stylecraft Blogstars’ Garden Party

Welcome to my turn to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee with a Garden Party. Fellow Stylecraft Blogstars are taking part in this event throughout May, where we share a pattern we designed for this special occasion. Our brief: use pastel colours and think ‘garden party’. Well, for this Aussie, living so far away from the other Blogstars (Stylecraft is based in the UK for those that do not know) and never ever been to a garden party or really heard of one, it stumped me on what to make at first. Obviously (for those that know me), a mandala was my...

The first post of 2021?

How is this possible? I have not blogged yet for 2021! But I kind of understand, because it’s been such a busy 2021 so far. All three boys are now in primary school (for the first and last time together ever). All four boys are now playing football (soccer). That’s a planning nightmare lol, but I do love watching them play. We got married in March. That was a biggie. I had four weeks to plan our wedding and make my dress. Which I did. More to follow below. I have released two patterns (how sad lol). Work has been...

Goodbye 2020

Finally! It is the last day of 2020. What a year it has been. I could go on and on about it, but I won’t. I want to focus on how productive it has been on the design front and reminisce over the patterns I have created aka being grateful for the good to come out of 2020. 😆🤩 I don’t want to ramble on so I will let the photos do most the talking and I’ll try my best to keep it in chronological order for you. It’s nice to see things progress that way. January January saw the...

Resilience in Bloom Information

Good morning everyone! I’m happy to report that I finished weaving in all the ends last night. I highly recommend that when you make your own blanket, you weave in as you go. (As a designer, you never know when you’re going to frog, so I like to leave my ends out ‘just in case’, because we all know how hard it us to find the ends after we’ve woven them in 😅). I have loved seeing how excited you all are. It makes my heart sing. It really does! So thank you for your beautiful words, they do mean...
