NOTES:
- Each round is started with a standing st unless otherwise stated – watch
this video on how to make standing
stitches
You can make standing stitches out of any stitch required by simply having a slip knot on you hook already and then make the stitch as per instructions e.g standing single crochet; with a loop on hook, insert hook into stitch indicated, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through two loops, standing treble crochet; with a loop on hook, yarn over twice, insert hook into indicated stitch, pull up a loop, (yarn over and pull through two loops) three times
If you prefer an invisible join, please make one where it states to jss to 1st st to – watch this video on how to make invisible joins
MATERIALS:
- If you’re going to be following this pattern exactly as it is with colour changes too, you’ll need C1, C4, C5
- If you’re using your own colour choices, then just follow the pattern, ignoring where it says to cut yarn and start using new colours
FINISHED SIZE:
Acrylic 8 ply: Approx 28cm / 11 inches – yarn amounts (you don’t use much honestly, about 10 g of each (over estimating), you will have noticed by now that it’s not a very big piece

x-st – (photo explanation below) Think of this stitch as 4 components numbered 1-4, – each component representing a ‘leg’ of the x. Below are two photos in order of how they are made, depending on what hand you hook with. The first photo represents a right-handed hooker; the second, a left-handed
Right side – for left handed people

y.o, skip st, insert hook into next st,
pull up a loop,
y.o pull through two loops (leg #2 made & 4 loops remain on hook),
